I began reading an Emerson essay every week about two years ago. I set out to read The Essential Writings of Ralph Waldo Emerson and I enjoyed it so much it has become a whole project to read everything he has ever written. It has also become an obsession to learn as much as I can about Emerson, his times, his influences, and the group of famous people he called friends.
